The Gran Hotel Son Net is set in a beautiful old manor that dates back, in part, to 1672 and has been lovingly restored to the stunning hotel that it is today. 24 luxurious bedrooms and suites combine the traditional with the contemporary, to create a truly stylish and individual hotel. The 30 metres swimming pool is surrounded by individual cabañas for private relaxation, and the restaurant Oleum has won many awards.

Only seven miles from Palma de Mallorca, Puigpunyent is a small village in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, dominated by an impressive house called Son Net. Legend has it that the land surrounding Son Net once belonged to a nobleman who had excelled as a pirate in the 12th century, when Mallorca was feared throughout the region for its marauding corsairs. There has been a house on this site for a thousand years, but the present building dates back mainly to the 17th century, when it served as a country retreat for an aristocratic family from Palma de Mallorca. Later a vast olive oil press was added.


The hotel is home to an outstanding collection of art, including 20 original works by amongst others Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, David Hockney, Christo, Marc Chagall, as well as classical paintings by Spanish masters.

The double rooms, known at Gran Hotel Son Net as Classic rooms, are all situated on the ground floor of the hotel, and are therefore ideal for families or friends who wish to be near to each other. All of this rooms have twin beds and overlook the sumptuous gardens of the hotel and are equipped with large comfortable bathrooms.

All Superior rooms are situated on the first floor of the hotel and look out over interior patios, the Galatzó mountain and the hotel entrance. All superior rooms feature king size or twin beds, with very spacious and comfortable bathrooms.

Junior Suites known at Gran Hotel Son Net as Deluxe rooms, are located on the top floor of the building. The views are pretty as postcard, overlooking the surrounding valley home of the small village of Puigpunyent, as well as the splendid pool and gardens of the hotel.

The two Suites, known at Gran Hotel Son Net as Gran Suites, are located at both corners of the building. They feature large windows overlooking the swimming pool and the stunning gardens of the hotel, as well as open living rooms with tasteful fabrics and elegant furniture.

Senior Suites, known at Gran Hotel Son Net as Royal Suites, are the true jewels of Son Net. Their spectacular size, with a living room, spacious private terraces and gardens, jacuzzi, fabulous views over the valley of Puigpunyent and surroundings, overwhelm every visitor.
