Portinatx is a small, picturesque tourist resort in the far north of Ibiza and has three bays, S’Arenal Gross, S’Arenal Petit and Porto Beach. The beauty of the surrounding landscape, with pine forests that stretch across the mountains, creating breathtaking views, make it an unmissable stopping point on many of the excursions around Ibiza, be it by boat from Sant Antoni or by road.
Portinatx is popular with families as a holiday resort and so most of the accommodation on offer here is apartments. Despite being a small resort and somewhat remote from other resorts, a full array of services is to be found here, including shops, bars and restaurants in sufficient variety.
The waters off Portinatx are excellent for diving. For those who prefer to remain on dry land, the town makes a good base for walks, especially along the coast, where beautiful unspoiled beaches can be found.
