Montuïri is a village on the Plain of Mallorca, situated right in the middle of the island. Most buildings in the village are traditional constructions and the settlement sits on a hill which is 178 m above sea level on one side of the busy road from Manacor.
The Parish Church of Sant Bartomeu is one of the most significant buildings in Montuïri, along with the old windmills used for grinding flour in times gone by. Also of note is the Rectory building, which was built between the 14th and 15th centuries. On the outskirts of the village are the prehistoric remains of the Talayotic settlement of Son Fornés and the hill of Sant Miquel, with the Sanctuary of Mare de Deu de la Bona Pau, which dates back to the 14th century.
