Cala Galdana is in the municipality of Ferreries, situated on the south coast of Minorca some 35 kilometres from the airport. It is one of the most picturesque resorts on the island thanks to its bay, which is shaped like a shell. The fine white sandy beach stretches for 460 metres and is fringed by spectacular cliffs that offer outstanding views of the coastline.
The town consists in the main of houses and features a wide range of amenities such as a few hotels and tourist apartments, restaurants, bars and shops. The various water sports on offer here include diving.
Cala Galdana lies at the end of the Algendar gully, which starts 10 kilometres inland and is a protected natural space, thereby safeguarding the environment as well as the animal and plant species here, some of them indigenous to Minorca.
